Zaida Ponthin

Zaida has studied with prof. Marika Fältskog at the Malmö Academy of Music, Tobias Granmo at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, and with Cecilia Zilliacus at the master programme in chamber music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.

Zaida has performed in masterclasses for e.g. Olivier Charlier, Isabelle van Keulen, Frans Helmersson, Bengt Forsberg and Gerhard Schulz. As a freelancing violinist, Zaida often appears as an orchestral and chamber musician, most recently with the c/o Chamber Orchestra. She is initiator, artistic director and leader of a string ensemble in her hometown at the Åland Islands in Finland.
