Nanako Onobe was born in Japan in 1998

She graduated from Nihon University High School in 2017.

She graduated from the Piano Performance Course at the Tokyo College of Music in 2021.

Currently, she is a guest student of Tokyo College of Music (Graduate School).

In 2013, she got a 2nd prize in the 2nd Japan Hong Kong International Music Competition professional category piano section intermediate class. This competition was held at Hong Kong City Hall. She got the 2nd prize (the highest prize) in the 21st Petrof Piano Competition and was awarded the scholarship for participating in Vienna Music Seminar. She participated in it and performed at the church in Münchendorf.

In 2014, she got a Bronze Medal in the 15th Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia.

she got Nihon University President Award.

In 2016, she got the Best prize in the 40th PTNA Piano Competition in category F.

In 2018, she got the 3rd prize in the 3rd Spanish Music International Competition.

She got the 2nd prize in Dryard Piano Academy and she was awarded the scholarship.

In 2019, she participated in New York Classical Bridge International Music Festival.

She took the master class by Jeffrey Cohen and performed at The DiMenna Center Cary Hall.

In 2020, she left a Japanese premiere recording of the piano piece “Paraphrase on a theme of the Faust, the damned for piano composed by the prestigious Hungarian composer László Dubrovay, and received praise from Dubrovay himself.

In 2021, she got the 5th prize in the 12th Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford,CT special online edition in Piano Masters category(no age limited).She got the 2nd prize in the VII Odin International Music Online Competition.She got the 1st prize in the MAP International Music Competition.

She studies under Gábor Faskas, Masahiro Kawakami, and Mari Takeda.
